About

Artist Bios:

Justin Leflar, a Northwest Arkansas Ozark native, has been playing music professionally since 2004. He specializes in engaging his audience with songs that get them grinning, singing, and dancing. Proprietors love the business he brings in for them. Justin performs as the frontman for Tater, Mater, & Squarsh (Three piece Americana). In his solo show, called Leflar Live, he plays guitar and mandolin and uses a looping pedal to achieve the sound of a full band. Because he sings lead and harmonizes fluidly, he often is invited as a special guest to sit in with other bands and has sung and played mandolin alongside Fetts Folly, Brick Fields, Candy Lee, and many more.

Justin not only plays locally, but has played regionally in Missouri and across the West to Alaska. He loves to play venues in Colorado where he enjoys mountain biking, rafting, hiking, camping, and practicing Acroyoga. His eclectic musical taste spans classic rock, folk, country, blues, r&b, funk, hip hop, and bluegrass. Justin has performed songs in multiple languages including Spanish, Italian, Arabic, and more. He performs hundreds of covers and has written more than twenty original songs as well. Justin loves music and sharing songs and experiences with new and old friends alike.

Kevin Watkins, often heralded as Fayetteville’s musical cupid, is as much a staple of the Northwest Arkansas music scene as the Ozark Mountains are to the breathtaking scenery of Northwest Arkansas. Kevin, who plays bass in Tater, Mater, & Squarsh also shares his time among many musical projects including The Bootheelers, Front Porch Symphony, Walter Schmidt and the Arkansas Chowder, Amber and the Relics, Jumpsuit Jamie and The Can’t Wait to Playboys and The Bear Chasers.

His kind and steady spirit echos through his upright bass playing which is intuitive, dynamic and sturdy. Kevin has been playing and exploring in Northwest Arkansas for five decades which shows through his connections to its people, music and geographical landscapes. When he is not playing a show or leading adventures hiking in the Ozarks, you can find him making cameo appearances at the local music and arts scene.
